SUMMARY

Doug Carter is a Professional Pianist / Entertainer / Piano Tuner / Piano Instructor / Church Organist & Choir Director and has been marketing these services under his business name the past 10 years – Piano Specialties. The entrepreneurial spirit that exists in Doug has led him to performances for all types of special events and private parties including numerous events at the Governor’s residence in Indiana.

Doug earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Piano (major) and a minor in Voice at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. Doug later returned to Butler University where he acquired his Master’s Degree in Music Education. While at Butler University, Doug was the featured soloist performing with the Butler University Orchestra.

Doug has been in a leading role as a Choral Director and Church Organist off and on for more than 19 years in both Indiana and most recently at Cason United Methodist Church in Delray Beach, FL. Doug was Director of Music (Chancel Choir & Bell Choir) at Cason and served as the organist and pianist. Doug also teaches private piano lessons, tunes pianos, and performs at many private functions and corporate events. Doug's passion and desire is to play Standard Hits from all eras, Contemporary Pop, Broadway Show Tunes and Classical Music for Special Events & Private Parties once again in Indianapolis & surrounding areas where he caters to the array of music of his clients desires.

Part of his spare time is still vested with tuning pianos. He now brings his extraordinary talents to venues from Assisted Living / Retirement Home Communities to Restaurants and Country Clubs besides being available for small to large audiences from private parties and events to conventions!
